About the Ship

M
ardi Gras is Carnival Cruise Line newest and largest cruise ship ever built.
What Carnival Mardi Gras is going to be?
How will it handle 5,300 guests on board?
Carnival Mardi Gras vs Royal Caribbean ships?

Carnival is launching four giant 180,000+ GT cruise ships over next two years.
Four brands under Carnival Corp. umbrella will get their largest ever ships: Carnival Mardi Gras, AIDAnova, P&O Iona, and Costa Smeralda.

While loosely based on the same platform, each of the Big Four will have some visible  "tweaks" to keep them in line with the brands' specifics.

With this Big Four Carnival is entering a new "super-mass market" category (vs mass market).

This a cruise blog by a cruise critic for cruise lovers.

This is not a blind reposting of cruise lines ads, nor retelling cruise lines marketing BS.
So I will tell you everything I know about the ships: the good, the bad, and the ugly, of course 😉

This is a research that has established most defining facts about the ship. Some info still needs verification.
Updates are coming....

Enjoy!
